Default Customized Settings

Does anyone know how Lexus customizable settings work? I had my car at the dealer today and asked them to customize one feature (open all windows and moonroof when holding down unlock button on fob) but when I tested it this afternoon, it still didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to do that or does it require special equipment?

You have to hold it down for 2.5 seconds and continue to hold down. Be careful it never gets pushed and held when raining. Happened to me one day while I was at work and I didn't know until I went home for the day.

Yes, that part I knew. It doesn't work. What I would like to know is how to program that function into the car.

Pretty sure that is not a customizable feature but is a standard feature for the keyless entry. I have found that I have to be rather close to the car for that to work. I can unlock the doors from quite a distance, but for the window down feature I have to be about 15 feet or closer to the car. When you first press and hold it will beep once as it does for door unlock. Keep holding and it will beep again and the windows should go down. BTW, if you have an Ultra model, the moonroof will not open. If it still will not work, I think you will need to see the dealer.

Thanks for the heads up, Pete. I went out after reading your post and tried it on mine; it worked. Going to put it to good use during our hot summers.

It is a customizable (Lexus Personalized Settings) feature. My wife and I chose not to have it. It was on our cars when we bought them, but we had that feature removed.

See attached.
