Default Tail light access trunk cover

I have a 2005 Lexus ES330. The tail light on the drivers side has burned out. How do I remove the inside trunk cover to gain access to the tail light. Do I simply pry off the plastic holders or do they screw out or do I need a special tool?

I know this is a very simple fix but I do not want to damage the plastic holders.

Default 2003 tail light removal

I just replace mine on the same location. Using a flat head screw driver and pliers to carefully pull out 3 plastic tab on the corner, closest to the light assy (not including the one with the emer trunk release). I was able to lift the cover enough to unscrew the bulb housing and replace the bulb. For the plastic tab, you may want to insert a zip tie in the hole to give you leverage in pulling it out. Be carefull not to pull so hard as the tab is made of soft plastic. The inside part of the tab is serrated, pulling it from side to side should help. good luck......
