Thank you Sagarx, you found this pulley and shared with all of us, sounded like a good find and more bang for the buck. I think my next buy will be a TRD rear sway bar. Thanks again bro.

ok. i talked to the shop that installed my belt. they did install the suggested belts. so i do not have a belt that is .75 bigger. i looked under the hood at the belts & sure enough both of them are the suggested gates belts. i have adjusted the tension bolt myself. it seems to only squeal when i turn the a/c on. so they said it needs to be adjusted. i have a scheduled appt. on mon. thanks though dude cause i been wondering about having that bigger belt on. then the site went down...i been going nutzzzz!!! waiting to hear how your install went. but i feel allot better knowing the right belts are on. i hope it stops squeaking!
ahhhh & your most welcome about sharing the pulley find. i am very happy i found this forum & am glad i could help as i know you & most others would do the same.

now that it has been a couple of days i wouldn't say 10hp but i gained a few. why do you say stick with the oem. if i am hurting my engine, i have no problem switching back to the oem.

Replacing the pulley is a bad rep for most cars because the harmonic damper and pulley are a single unit. When you throw in an aftermarket pulley, it usually meant you're throwing out the damper also. Without the damper, you run the risk of vibrations within the crankshaft that may lead to spun bearings.

I haven't worked on the ES300 yet, but if the dampers are separate from the pulley, replacing the pulley while leaving on the damper shouldn't be a problem. Throwing on a 1-piece solid pulley to replace both OEM pulley and damper is a bad idea. Most aftermarket brands use this kind of pulley since it's cheaper to produce. But by the time they throw in a damper large enough that's remotely useful, the total weight will be close the OEM unit.

The Lexus service tech only replaced the pulley and the damper and harmonic balancer are separate from the pulley and were left in place. I had the tech save everything he removed and all he removed was the two belts and the OEM pulley, everything else was left in place. I have no vibration issues at all and according to NST website, they state anywhere from 7-10 hp gain.

As long as the damper is left in place, you should be good.

As far as power gains, it varies from car to car. Guys with lightened flywheels dont' normally dyno that much higher than stock, and the flywheel has a lot more inertia than the crank pulley.

Only way to find out is to take it to the track

only thing taken off my var was the oem pulley & belts. my squeaking issue is getting better by the day so i am starting to think it is just the belt wearing in. i did give it a lil tightning, but all seems well. if any body can give me a fact as to how this pulley is hurting my engine i ask you to please do so, cause it aint worth a new engine to me.

I will have to get back to you on this. I filled up my tank the day I got my pulley installed and Im almost at 3/4 of tank full and have 90+ miles, so far looks about average, getting about 23 miles per gallon here in California.
