Question Scratches!

So a few weeks ago, I brought the car to Wilkie Lexus to get the starter button replaced. Took a couple of days because the part was coming from Japan. Anyway, I finally get the car back and my dad specifically told me to check the car for scratches before leaving the lot. I was hesitant but did it anyway. I find a few scratches and one pretty deep scratch; maybe 2-4 inches long. The service gentlemen used rubbing compound the majority of the scratches but the deep one wouldn't go away. The manager said that when I bring the car back for the next oil change, they'll take care of it, ie wet sand it to remove the scratch.

My question, should I leave the scratches alone b/c wet sanding the area may turn out worst or take my chances and let them fix it? My thinking, worst case scenario, it doesn't look right from the wet sanding...they redo the door; but the new paint may not match...comments? Advice? Thanks

In my opimion, I would not have accepted the car until they fixed the scratch. Most likely, they will remember but I would make an appointment ASAP to get it done and not wait for the next oil change.

It really is sad the dealers can't respect our cars better. There has only been a few instances when the car has come back without new scratches. How hard can it be.
