When im taking 90 degree turns, i hear this nasty "metal on metal" clunking sound. Does any one know what this is? perhaps my bushings? or CV joint? but the faster i take the turn the louder it is...and if i take it real slow, there is no noise.

sounds like a cv boot. there could be major damage if it is. how old is your car? shouldn't be happening on anyhting 1998 and up.

I would also say the cv boot. Its common and not to bad of a rapair.

 

I hate to burst your bubble, but if its already making a clunking sound its not just ur CV boot but your bearings have also gone. You will need a whole new axle to fix this(i have the same problem), and i have called around, once it starts making a clunking sound your bearings are gone, and you need a new axle. This will run around $150-$250 per axle installed depending on where you go.
