Where can I find the transmision code? I double checked the various stickers on the door and under the hood but have not found it yet...

I want to change out the fluids and strainer but I have found that there are different kits depending on this code (U140E, A541E, etc.).

No idea what I was thinking but its a '00 not an '01.
Maybe this nugget will help someone explain to me which transmission I have...

The numbers you mention both show up in some of the codes I have seen. On the tranny in my RX300 (U140F for the AWD tranny), the number is located in the rear left of the transmission here (meaning you are going to have to crawl on the top of your engine bay to see it as shown below). However, as I understand it, count up the number of bolts you have on your transmission pan on the bottom of your ES. On the 99-01, if you have 17 bolts, it's an A541E, but if it's 18 bolts, it's a U140E. The U140E is the FWD tranny for the RX300 incidentally.
