I don't know if it's my battery or something else.
The problem is that when I try to start my car all I hear is a clicking/clacking noise. So I figured maybe the battery is dead and a jump will be good enough. Apparently not, even with the jump and after driving around, once I turn off the engine, the car won't start again.
Needless to say, this has been going on for a while, to the point where I purchased a portable jump starter. What I don't understand is that I can drive for 2 hrs straight, with no problems, but once the car is turned off it won't start again. Sometimes it did start after a long drive and sometimes it did not, but it definately will not start again the next day without a jump.
Any help will be much appreciated, I'm getting tired of jumping the vehicle everytime I need to use it. Thanks.
Most likely a bad battery. It may not be taking a charge from the alternator. Although if replacing the battery does not work, The alternator may not be putting out enough voltage to recharge the battery.
Most part stores offer a free battery/alternator test. Advance auto parts, O'Reilley's, Autozone, etc....
