Whats up everybody i just purchased a 1993 es300 5 speed i have a few ? Are the five speed car faster than the autos and do they have more power also what type of five speed are in these things is it from another car. Thanks.
Congrats on your find. 5spd versions of your car is very rare...along with it's Camry counterpart. You have a 3VZ-FE V6 engine which was found in 92-93 Camry V6 and ES300 models. Those years were 2 of the 3 years that the 5spd was available for the ES. The first year was the 2VZ-FE ES250. The 5spds are faster than their auto counterparts. Most of the car magazines tested the 92-93 Camry SE V6 5 spd and were able to obtain 7.7-8.0 sec 0-60 times and 15.8-16.1 1/4 times. The ES should be identical..or a little slower since it's a little heavier than the Camry. The ES300 shares it's chassis with the Camry. They have identical chassis codes. Your year happens to be the VCV10. The 94-96 ES300 (MCV10) used the 1MZ-FE V6.
Thanks for the info when i first that it had a five speed i was in shock i didn't relize they came with 1 but i think i will enjoy it better thanks again.
I tell you i have the car for 3 weeks now and people are in shock its a five speed auto is nice but you get more of a sportier feel with a stick now if it was a ls400 i wouldn't buy a stick but i like it alot. One question what 5 speed is in this car and what are the ratios i cant find any info.
