Default speedometer and tachometer failure??

I have a 96' ES and I am worried that my meters are going to malfunction really soon. Almost everytime when i drive, with a cold engine, speedo and tackometer does not register going up to 20 mph then it shoots up suddenly and everything works normal again. anyone experienced this before? later failures?

Thanks

yeah......i had a 93 ES with the same problem and sometimes I would have to smack the dash for it even to start working at all. Someone told me that the circuit board was going bad so the best thing I could tell u is to find one on Ebay with low mileage. The mileage on your may not match but its liveable. If you dont want to do that and if you're good in electronics you can take some of the parts of a new cluster and replace it into your old one. Also someone told me that the Florida heat can take a toll on your cluster even making it age faster.
