Hi, just wanted to know what year for the ES300 that the intake uses a MAF or VAF? Is it the same one as on the mr2's?

All years uses a MAF. Though I don't believe it's the same as the MR2, different motor. The 1994 and up ES300 has a conical MAF.

The 2VZ-FE 90-91 ES250 and the 3VZ-FE 92-93 ES300 use the flapper style MAF. 1MZ-FE 94-current use conical style like VZV21 explained.
