Question Passenger side axle

I'm in the process of removing my engine and I am having problems removing the axle on the passenger side. i removed the 10mm bolts from the side nearest to the motor but I can't get the big bolt that is in the middle of the brake disc. The haynes manual says to take the axle out as a whole unit, but is it safe to just remove one side and just pull the motor or do as the book says and take it out in one piece.

You need to take out that 1 inch nut that is locking your rotor in. Try using air powered drills. They make the job much easier.

i used an inch a 1/4 socket and its just a hair too big, I have a 550 ft/lb impact wrench and a 120 psi compressor but it won't get it haven't tried any metric sizes anyone know the exact size i think that would convert to 31 or 32 in mm but not sure
