/LexusES330004.jpg[/IMG]I just mounted some Foose 18" wheels on my 04 ES. They come off of a 06 M35. I was surprised they fit so well. The question I have is how do I know if the lug nuts are going in far enough so I don't have to worry about the wheel coming off? I read some place that the lug nut should cover 7 threads, but how will I know that with the lug nuts and wheel on? Thank you for help!

 

Refer to your owner's manual for proper torque spec of the wheel lugs (I believe it's always been 76 ft-lb).

BTW nice wheels on a nice looking ES!

 

i believe that is the same as 7 full revolutions of the lug nut.. at a MINIMUM.

Those wheels make your car sit too high. If you plan on keeping them, then I suggest dropping the car down a bit. It will also help out with your handling, especially when taking corners.

 

I'm not feeling them. I think they look better on a muscle car like a Mustang. The ES is pure entry level luxury. I'd rather see a multispoke designed type of wheel.

 

Thank you for the comments so far. The other wheels I have I am not sure if they will fit, but I will know this spring. Any other comments are more then invited. Just give me your opionion like the prior 2 did. No offense taken!

 

If the wheel studs are not long enough, take one off and take it to the Toyota dealer (probably Autozone/Pepboys) and they should be able to match them up. That's what I did when I bought my first set of aftermarket wheels (wrong offset).
