I was driving home last night, parked the car at Domino's to go pick up the pizza. No lights were left on or anything. I get back out to the car, try to start it, and it cranks VERY slowly. After a few tries and 10 minutes of sitting, it finally started back up, however reluctantly.

So I drive back home, and I'm about 3 blocks from my house (which in my area is actually about .75 miles away), and I come to a red light. Car dies. So I shut the headlights off, shift into park, turn the key, nothing. So, I get out of the car, push it into a school parking lot, let it sit for a few minutes hoping that my last "solution" would work, and it didn't.

So, my father comes out, tries to start it, and nothing happens. Dash lights up very dim, but that's about it. Turns the key, nothing.

So, he jumped it, we drove it home, put it on a trickle charger and I'm about to head out to the dealer to get this assessed (it's still under ext warranty).

I'm thinking alternator

Any similar experiences?

 

Change the battery, test the alt afterwards.
