Does anybody have any info. on the remote key on a 92 es300?

Do i have to take it to the shop or something that i can fix.

I have a 1996 ES300 with a single button on the remote key itself. It quit working even after changing the battery. A few weeks later, I was putting a new bulb in the dome light.. and heard the locks activate a coup[le of times as I was prying the old bulb out with a penknife. After the new bulb was installed, the remote works perfectly again. Before you go to the dealer.. try changing the dome light, even if it is working.
