Default Engine Light came on and got a P0446 problem

Hey guys, wow its been a while since Ive been here. Anyway, my engine light came on today on my 98 es300, and when I got home tonight, I plugged in my OBDII and got this readout:

PO446 - EVAP Emission Control System Vent Circuit Malfunction

Anyone know what this is and how to fix this problem (maybe a picture tutorial if not too hard to fix on my own).

Also, is it OK for me to drive for a while with this problem?

Thanks

Agreed with Chris. I ran into the same problem with my '01 ES, and I believe this is a relatively common issue on some of the '97-'01 ES. As I understand it, charcoal canister can go bad when you get in the habit of "topping off" fuel in your tank at the gas station (i.e. putting in extra fuel after gas pump automatically stops).

Is this covered under the Toyota Clean Air Act Settlement for my 98?

I found a bunch on info on it. Has anyone gone to the dealer and had them replace this for free?

it is covered but my car was way past the mileage at the time. if your car qualifies for it, you should do it.
