I just went out and measured the scratch. It's 5" not 2" long. That makes me feel worse.

so what did you do to the gardner after discovering this? i'd kill the SOB! anyway, i hear for scratches, you can make it less noticeable by using a toothpick to apply touchup paint right on the scratch. This way the scratch is colored like your car, and its less noticeable.

After that they plug the hole with a plasic black hole plug that almost looks factory. If you get someone that really knows what they are doing you will be hard pressed to find the dent they fixed!
The more reputeable paintless dent repair facilities will not drill a hole.Drilling a hole is a half a** way of doing it.If you get a good technician they wont drill and youll never know the dent was there.BTW my GS is 8yrs old and ding free.It is possible.

For what its worth, for those small paint chips only on those black cars you might want to keep some touch up paint and follow it with Langka to flatten out the dried paint blob. Just in case. (www.langka.com)
