Transmission Question?
Would a Toyota camry transmission be able to be used be a 1992 lexus es300..... or should i look into it being rebuilt? and how much would the transmission cost to be fixed...and if anyone knows how mcuh it would be for a new one"?

You need to jump TE & E1, and tell us why your check engine light is flashing. (Give us the number code the light flashes when you jump it. i.e. 6-3, 3-2, 6-4, etc.)
Most of the time, people don't need a new transmission, unless they have run with low and/or burned up transmission fluid.
So start by troubleshooting your problems. Not throwing money at them!
I have a good idea of what your problem is, and it's not expencive to fix... But troubleshoot FIRST. Not last, or never.
It's the same car mechanically. Yes. You can use any camry part. Used A540-E transmissions go for $450-650 on ebay & most resellers. You want a 92-93 A540E transmission.
Brand new from Toyota would about over $1000usd, new from lexus, probably $2000.
Transmissions in generaly are a racket. I know, I worked in a tranny shop one summer. The best clutch rebuild kit on earth (That will handle over 650bhp) costs about $450usd. Thena dd in a couple hundred bucks for labor

1992-96 ES300 is basically the same as a 1992-96 toyota camry...and did you notice how all the parts under the hood say toyota?...so yea the tranny should be interchangeable...try www.car-part.com for your used part needs...or get killed by the dealer and get a new one...

The 92-93 is the A540E
The 94-96 is the A541E
While mechanically they're almost identical - save a minor ratio change, and a change to the second & third gear clutch packs. They will not interchange with each other. The 541E moved more control of the transmission from the valve body, to solenoids.
