It does have the 10 character flaw, but it is directly connected to the navigation system, plays through the superb ML audio system, responds to the dash buttons and voice commands.

I bought my ES350 at Longo in CA and the dealer installed Sirius came with it absolutely free, including a free nine month subscription. They have it pre-installed in every ES350 on their huge lot.
The dealership where I bought my car advised against having the dealer-installed option put in my car. They said there have been a significant number of issues and complaints about the unit, especially concerning the reception.

What I've done as an interim measure is put the antenna on my back window (inside) and run it to the center armrest in the front, where I've hooked up my Sirius unit to the power supply and the iPod input. I can't see the unit, but I know how to feel my way around it to change the station. Not a big deal for me as I typically only go between BBC World Service, BBC Radio 1 and Dallas traffic. What I did not expect, however, was to have to endure this temporary solution for an indefinite period of time.
