1992 ES 300 Intermtittent Starting Problem
Hello,
I need some help. My 1992 Es 300 has an intermittent starting problem. If the car is cold and hasn't been running for several hours it will start right up. It will run and drive fine. Once it is shut off, it will not start back up for 6-8 hours. This problem repeats itself every day. If the car is cold it starts right up....but even after it starts right up, if I immediately turn it off and try to restart it, it simply cranks, but won't start back up again.
I recently removed and replaced the instrument cluster to fix the gauge needles and shortly after that the starting problem occurred. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks, Mike

Disconnect the battery ground.
Remove the cluster, replug the connections and reinstall. You may have one not correctly locked into place. While your in there, check for any other loose connections.
