Intrax/Tokico isn't so bad. It feels pretty good with stock wheels on. But with my 18's dang... bump bump bump. It's really what you want....

if you can live with the extra bumpiness for the no finger gap go with coilovers
if you want a better ride but can stand the front gap go with springs

imo, I would rather have no gap... but I bought my springs/struts before I could find a good deal on coilover.s
