hey everyone. i bought my 96 es300 a few months ago and the wind noise is just getting worse and worse. i noticed that everyone says that its the window alignment, so i decided to fix it. after taking off my door panel, i asked myself:" Which friggin bolt do i have to turn to align the dam window??" Can anybody help me please? a picture would be the best. my car is just sitting there now without a door panel, i dont want to put it back on before i fix it. and i dont want to pay that dealer $200.
Its a known issue on our generation about wind noise. Another thing, although a little too late, is to make sure your passengers don't close the door harder than necessary. You could also try and build up the rubber molding and by that I mean by stuffing some cotton ***** or something behind the moulding. This will effectively push the molding farther out and hopefully create a better seal for you. Definitely let us know how it goes.
hey i tried the cotton ball method. it works enough to notice the difference, but not quite enough to make a very significant impact. i still want to find out how to align the windows properly without going to the dealer. nobody knows???

I never thought of that. It's not really a problem for me, only when it is extremely windy, but I might try it to absolve any future problems.
I have information from alldata that will show dealers, or us how to fix the problem, however I am away from that computer....I can try to post up some information about the fix later on tonight..
