Default Broken LCD

The LCD screen for my Radio on my 98 ES3 is cracked. It's fine externally, but it's bleeding on the inside. I can't make out any numbers on the LCD anymore. Any advice as to how i should go about solving this problem? I'd rather not go to the dealer and purchase a new radio just because of the LCD. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem on my 98, only it bled through from the inside (no crack). In any case, the dealer removed it, sent it out for LCD replacement and reinstalled it for $250. Only downside is that I had no stereo for a week or so. Works like a charm now. Others here have ordered the part from panasonic, ebay, etc and replaced it themselves. Do a forum search and you should be able to find more info.

Good luck

Thanks for the information, man . I checked on other forums and i found a link to the right LCD screen at the panasonic website. it's about 100 bucks after tax and shipping. not bad.
