Default Problems solved!

hey whats up everyone...
I'm sure I've posted a few threads on here about the problems I had with the ES.
One problem was a huge lag when going WOT and the other problem was the car not being able to shift into O/D.
So I took the car to the dealer and got the problem fixed!!!
Here is what was replaced....
1) MAF's
2) Knock (spelling) sensors
3) some sort of wire
Total cost was close to $1,400 Canadian... so around $1,200 US!!!
I just wanna thank all the guys that helped me out with these problems!!

The price tag for the fixes sounds heavy, but glad to hear you got the ES back in shape.

Knowing Lexus parts... the MAF was prolly 1000, the sensor 50, the wire $10, and 140 in labor.

Cool

I wouldn't want to ask Lexus what a knock sensor costs. Toyota sells those crappy things for $140!

MAF was around $250 Canadian + $ 90 Canadian for diagnose
Two Knock sensors cost about $200 Canadian Each + $400 Canadian in labour
Then you add 15% tax
I'm really glad its running great again!!!!

*sigh*
ok... problem not solved!!!
After 3 days of receiving the car..... the "engine light" and "traction light" both came on AGAIN!!!!!
So I am getting the dealer to look at it again this tuesday...
Now I hope I am not gonna get charged $$$ for the diagnosis since my dad dumped enough $$$ there this monday!!!
