Default New plate frame

Just got a new plate frame and wondering if there are special screws that anyone knows of that I can use. I am worried that thieves will take my frame if I use regular screws.

I dunno about any special screws but I have some plate frames that use hex keys. I mean if they wanna take it i dont think there is much you can do. I dont think you can really see it in the pic though.

I have seen and used frame screws that are hex head with a post in the middle of the hex depression. A special hex wrench comes with the set so that you can put them on and take them off. This is kinda neat cause any ole hex wrench won't work. You have to use the one from the kit or manufacturer. I saw them at Autozone or Lappens, let me know if you don't see anything and I will send you a set. We can figure out reimbursement later if you are interested.

Thanks for the help but I just picked up a set today from Autozone. But when I brought it home and showed my dad he said those are common and he has a key for that screw. Now i am thinking on crazy gluing the screw caps on top of the screws lol

Hey Tony-
I see you live in NY. The crooks in this State are the most talented crooks in the country, so, no matter what you do.......they'll steal them if they want to.

I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing your plate cover, I've never heard of that happening(I've heard off emblems taking off cars but not plate covers.
