Default aUdiO heLP!!??

I installed a new HU on my ES300. When I start the car and I turn the HU on, it makes a annoying humming sound. Also the annoying sound gets louder when I press the gas. I rewired the HU and checked everything and the noise is still there. Does anyone had this problem??? Please let me know how to fix the noise. Thanks.

I had that problem when I had a 92 ES, it had someting to do with the amp. Sometimes it would make a popping noise when I turned off the car or changed radio stations. I think I got my entire system rewired to bypass it but it was a while ago so Im not sure.

You need to give me some details.
1. Did you using a factory harness adapter? (Did you splice into factory wires?)
2. Are any speakers on amplifiers after you installed cd player? (New subsor Amp on Mids/Highs?)

If you didnt add amps
My first guess is....the most likely suspect I would say is the ground wire. Instead of using the stock ground going to the cd player, try running a fresh ground utilizing thicker wire comparable to what you see on the cd player. Make sure you always scrape away any paint when securing the ground.

I installed a used HU, you think it had something to do with it?? And yes, I bought new factory harness. I installed amp with 2 twelves but even when I just installed the deck it was already making the annoying noise. So your saying get a bigger wire for ground??

Bad ground on the amp. How many watts is the amp and what gauge wiring did you use? Also, is the amp grounded to a solid, paintless, piece of metal on the chassis or body

a high pitch whining sound that gets louder when accelerating? i had this probelm after installing an aftermarket HU. ground wire of the HU as suggested by one of the other post.. try relocating it to another grounding point on a clean metal surface and maybe use a longer grounding wire.
