sup guys.. i need some advice here.. i have a 2000 Black Lexus ES300 Platinum Edition.. well, i'm planning to upgrade my rims & tirez very soon because currently i only have 15" on'em and they look really wack.. my question here is should i look at 18",19", or 20"??.. 20" look the best, but they may be too big for my car since the wheelbase is a bit smaller than the GS i believe.. also is chrome better than silver or polished or is chrome kinda cheesy?.. please lmk.. any help would be appreciated dearly.. thanks.. late..
sHadyS1,
welcome to Club Lexus, nice color choice on your Platinum ES. You really should be asking yourself what kinds of roads am I going to be driving on (potholes etc.) and then you can better judge if you go with 18, 19 or 20". Pretty big jump from 15 either way. Your second concern will be at those rim diameters, how wide will you have to go and will that work on a front wheel drive car? Finally, there is always the price issue, the higher you go in rim size the more it'll cost you for tires. As far as the chrome/polished goes its all a matter of preference, but if it helps influence your decison at all mine are chrome.

for the rims size,
if you race and do it often, go with 17", or even smaller.
if you don't and you live in a neighborhood w/o pothole, go with 20".
my pref is chrome, but i have silver, because my rims won't look good with chrome. chrome looks good day and night!, silver only look good at day time.
because i am not rich, so I have 17" silver. so you got my idea?
good luck.
