My '94 ES300 with 75K miles is starting to exhibit exhaust noise. I hate to take it to a muffler shop because they will fix it with sub-standard parts that rattle and wear out quickly but I also don't want to go the ultra expensive Lexus dealer route. What have others done for exhaust system repairs?

 

First determine where the exhaust leak is coming from, then when you know what part of the exhaust system you need, you can buy the part from your friendly Lexus dealer, and have a local (capable) garage install it for you. I'm sure the labor costs will be much lower.
