I like the front end better with the new headlights. A definite improvement both inside & out.

The ES330, in spite of some complaints about the transmission ECU, is already one of the best entry-level luxury cars on the market....especially the interior. I would keep the car just as it is except for one thing....get rid of those awful sweep triangular headlights that go up the sides of the hood. ( I've mentioned this in some of the ES330 threads, too). They still haven't addressed that yet.

I've also noticed the change in the tailight design (clear reflector design on the bottom portion, like the JP tailights for the GS). Assuming the turn signal resides in the clear reflector lens, that will be a key update on the ES, and looks much better and sharper than the current tailight design

JP GS tailight:

Love all the changes but am unsure about the taillights, which is still elegant but a bit generic-looking--there are simply too many cars out there with this red-on-clear-stripe taillight theme already.

But man...that is one much better looking interior with just a change of the wood color.
And they've *finally* added steering wheel controls to the ES. Took them long enough. According to the Japanese site, the navigation system is now voice-activated. Hopefully the Lexus version will have the same.

And...are those projector headlights I see? Does that mean adaptive front lights?

Thanks 1SICK for the finding.

There's not too much of a change in the headlight design, except for the internals. The photo's are shot from different angles so it may be hard to judge.

The exterior shape of the headlights seems unchanged but with the change of the internals, they look cleaner and better defined.

The front shot looks particularly good.

Going back to the foglights, I think this will be the first circular reflective design of its kind seen straight from any factory Lexus vehicle (could be the start of something fresh). The '92-'94 ES has the circular fog lights but they are projective

I think you meant to say "all the not-so-right things are changed".
I don't think too many people here will be happy if what you said is true.

Just toying with ya.

Thumbs up

GAH! That's pretty sex-ay! Good lookin'-out, Sick.

The ES has always been a nice car. Corporate trend is visible with these headlights...Single projector found on LS430, Solara, now this...

Pretty cool. I'm lovin' the tails...
