It's tough to say what the average annual maintenance cost is on an ES, at least for mine.

For instance when I had my '96 w/ more than 128K miles, the only maintenance service I put in was the 90K service, tranny service and new tires (plus regular oil changes). Total cost (minus oil changes) was about $2,900.

For my current '01 (now just over 80K miles), I had put in a new battery, flushed and filled tranny fluid, and resurfaced front and rear rotors. Total cost has been about $520.

Big difference in maintenance costs between the 2 ES's , but generally you start digging more from your pocket when you reach over 100K miles.

Cool

Only had my '93 for about 9 months now.

So far pads & rotors - $350
Case of Maxlife - $25
2 Camry oil filters - $10
Radiator - $133
Radiator flush - $15
Antifreeze - $8
Front tires - $75

Rear Main Seal is starting to show signs of a slow leak & I need the 90K service, but that aint happening.

The simple fact is that for the cost of the seals plus the 90K service I can import a 10K Camry engine from Japan. More info on that when it comes up in a few months.

FYI Rear tires to come tomorrow because last night some *u**i** A***o*e put a beer bottle under one of my rear tires at work. Another $75...

So 9 months and around $750 later for the metric tools I had to buy... I'm still looking at about another $1250-1500, because I'm not touching the engine. Everything else I don't mind doing at home.

FYI We're not including the car detailing supplies I all ready had (about $500 worth) and the new system.
2 10" Kicker L5's
JBL 1200.1 (running one Ohm so 650RMS a piece)
Sony CDX 630 head unit
Sony CDX 757 10 disk MP3 CD changer
Kicker KX800.4 Amp
Infinity Kappa componet set 6.5"

I paid around $700-800 for all the audio equipment & the wiring to hook it up. I lost track...
I took the 6*9's out as they suck, same for those 2.5" speakers in the dash. Everything sounds much nicer now that the front stage is fairly well setup and the inferior speakers are not holding everything else back!

I'll probably add some Kicker Resolution 8" mid-bass drivers, but am undecided at the moment. I'm also working on getting the metal faceplate cover talked about in the forum as the plastic one sucks horribly!
