Default Water Pump 2GR-FE

Hello all, I have a 2015 ES350 thats about to hit 100k. I know im supposed to do a coolant flush with the service, but should I also replace the water pump given the amount of failures reported on this engine? I am on the original pump and am in the southern USA so hot summers coming up. I understand the "if its not broke, dont fix it" mindset but I also have a 2000 mile round trip coming up in about a month and definitely do not want to get stranded because my pump went out. What are ya'lls thoughts on preventative water pump replacements on these engines?

I replaced the WP at 72000 miles. It was perfectly fine but I did not want to risk.
It is not easy to replace it while the engine is under the hood but it is doable.

If it is quiet and not leaking I would leave it alone and just change the coolant.
This job takes a skilled shop about 5 hours and they have to loosen up motor mounts to move the engine up or down a bit to get at all the bolts. There is little room to work.

Wouldn't you normally replace the water pump when you change the timing belt? No point in paying for labor multiple times unless it's necessary.

My 2016 has around 109k and I just purchased a water pump as well as tensioner and idler pulleys during the last Bell Lexus sale. My issue was elevated temps at idle in traffic. After bleeding the system properly, which I did not do after thermostat change, my issue went away. I will still change the pump etc. in the next few thousand miles just because I have it now. There are several good videos online about changing it. It does show that the right motor mount needs to be loosened.
