I want to do a muffler delete on my 2000 Lexus ES300 and i wanted to know if it would sound good or not. Give me some advice.

 

It will sound like how rice tastes. “Ricey.”

 

If you want more engine noise remove the intake resonator.

 

What about a Cherry bomb glass back exhaust?

 

Awful. It will mess with the power band and drone like crazy on the highway. Trust me a raw intake (no resonator) will sound great on heavy throttle and normal otherwise. Performance cars have complex intake systems designed to sing that's how you get a nice engine note not just simply opening up the exhaust. 1MZ has a nice intake sound you'll be surprised, I know this from driving MR2 swaps.

But if you're hell bent on ricing out the exhaust go for it but it gets old pretty quickly. Obnoixious exhaust is to "impress" others but you won't. And it will drastically lower the resale value so at least keep the old exhaust system.
