Default Leak in trunk

Trying to find the source of a leak in trunk. One side has a hole where water is getting in. In the other side there is a plug. Any idea what part this is so I can replace?

Put some duct tape over the hole and don’t worry about it.

I am positive water it not getting in through that hole.

Inspect the gasket that seals the trunk lid also. You can remove it and check for dirt and stuff that could get under it and cause the leak.

I have video. I laid down in the trunk while my husband sprayed the car w a hose. It is definitely leaking.

Check weld seams on trunk edges with the trunk open. I had a minor leak in my HS250h trunk and some of those seams which were near the hinges, had cracks. I slapped clear silicone sealant all over the place (after cleaning it) and no more leaks.

Also check your rear sunroof drains. If the drain hoses pass through the trunk, the hose may be separated or pinched. You will have to remove the inner side trim panels on each side to find the hose. They are usually white plastic. Shove weed wacker line through it in both directions to clean them.
