This morning my car was shaking and had a burning smell it shook at acceleration and when idling it’s the car is shaking, and the check engine light is blinking instead of just on. does anyone know what this is about?

Are you sure it’s shaken and not stirred? Sorry J/K I couldn’t resist given your 007 name Also, if it makes you feel any better I had to pay an extra $4,600 to get the “shaker” package on my Challenger - well not really I bought it used

Seriously though I would get the car towed to a trusted mechanic ASAP as a blinking CEL is usually a sign of serious trouble and you don’t want to do any damage to the engine - sounds like there is some sort of misfiring cylinder. What year and how many miles do you have?

blinking CEL usually indicates a misfire, when were the spark plugs last done?

also lmao that martini reference was a reach even for me

My car had a similar issue several months ago and it turned out one of the cylinder pistons had an issue and had to be replaced I believe. Was a cheap thing to have fixed. But it could be something else so I would recommend having a professional take a look at it.
