My es has a clicking noise from the center console. Goes away when changing the heat to ac.
Everything still works, but is it an actuator going bad?

It's very hard to say anything specific without hearing the noise in question, a video of the sound will be helpful.

For now, look under the dash and see if you can approximate the source of a sound, that could help a lot.
