Hi, I have an OBD2 cable to connect to my PC. Does anyone have some software recommendations to read the fault codes from my car? Definitely getting some misfires and a check engine light
My 2008 ES350 has the check engine light, and vcs on. Engine definitely seems like it's misfiring. I have the spark plugs, and was reading it could be the coil packs. Would like to get a read on the actual faults. I have an OBD2 cable for a PC, does anyone have a software recommendation so that I can see what the fault is?
The car is 15 years old. If you gonna spend your time or paying someone doing the spark plug may as well replace all the coils and be done with it. 3 spark plugs on the back is a bit more difficult to tackle.
As for software i believe Techstream is what it called. You can buy cable on amazon or ebay for $20-$40 specifically made for working with techstream and toyota or lexus.

If you're strapped for cash, I would replace all the coil packs at the back first, then move all the old good ones to the front, that way, you know your rear coils are going to be good for a long time, and the front ones you can replace quite easily.
