I just wanted to share my new addition to my 2014 Lexus ES. With only one wire going down to the cigarette lighter adapter for power.
I'm now enjoying Apple car play and navigation (which my base ES did not previously came with), The Carpuride W103 Pro with wireless Bluetooth transmission plays all my music and even videos (which I do no recommend while driving) in my vehicle's speakers via Bluetooth connectivity. You can program it for iPhone and android phones equally. Not bad for a portable device, the best part is that you do not have to modify or alter the dashboard and can transfer it to another car. Very simple, just as the other Apple CarPlay consoles or portable devices like mine.
Wire the rear camera cable to the camera-input connection hole located on the side of the device and voila! You now have a fully functioning rear camera. On this device you can also install a front viewing camera as well.
Hope that helps, the device looks amazing, works flawlessly and my wife says it looks perfect on the ES - as if it came from the factory.
None can do that. because carplay and built in radio are in different systems, so they can't be used at the same time.
That is not true. I can have carplay map and switch input to Radio and it works. i can even use the behind the wheel screen to manage stations while having carplay maps. The only caveat is there’s no navigation voice, but I don’t care about it.
