Default Engine Swap

Engine Swap: If I were to replace the current engine in my 1999 Lexus es300 with this, would I be able to turbocharge it? Like could I singe or duel turbocharge it?

Is there something wrong with your engine? You can turbo anything with enough money, skill and resources. Ever done a custom turbo setup before?

it just has a lot of miles. I am looking to find something under 100k miles. I do not know exactly how many it has but it has been a vehicle that traveled to and from work for over an hour each way for years. And no I haven’t. All of this would be new for me, because I am a junior in high school and this would be my first major car project.

That's not a project you do as your first. These cars have no bolt on turbo kits everything you do would be custom. You need a full shop, tools and a wide range of skills and experience. You want a faster car buy one that already has the power you want. Much cheaper way to go.

Most of my family has a good bit of knowledge working on cars, and my grandfather has owned a mechanic/body shop for over 50 years. I assumed I’d need his help for something like this, I just wanted to do most of the work on it myself.

Is there an engine alternative that would be easier to add turbo to and still work with the car?

You're better off going with a 2GR-FE even in stock form you'll be getting good power, and a supercharger is available for it. Either way expect to spend $10,000+.

That's the one. Remember you will be doing custom wiring, mounts, axles etc.

There is no education for this level of work except experience. That's the hard truth.
