The lights for the buttons on my factory 6 disc
non ML changer stereo, climate control,
mirror adjustment button,
glove box light, center armrest storage lig
steering wheel controls are
dead. The LCD for the stereo and climate dim when I turn the light on as normal. For a few weeks I’ve noticed the console shifter, the ashtray light and cigarette lighter have gone out, but mostly if the buttons lit up by tapping the ashtray or the stereo/climate faceplates. Well, a few days ago the console shifter light stopped totally, as did the ashtray/cig lighter. I tried to replace the bulbs and tried 3 and none would light. Now after that the lights on the stereo/climate are gone except for the LCD screens. I checked all fuses in driver side fuse box and they are good. Also, the sunroof now doesn’t continue closing on its own after holding the button for a few seconds, I have to hold it down the entire time. Any idea on where to start? Could I have shorted something trying to replace the LED bulbs in the shifter and ashtray areas?
