Struts?
1997 Lexus ES 300 tire size 205-65-15
I know my struts are shot. The other day I put two thousand pounds in my trunk and slowly drove two blocks away to my house to unload and I did this three times now my car is significantly lower in the back I know why this happened I just want to learn about the damage I may have caused and the consequences because of it?

Did you beak the coils? Generally they can take full compression without damage but at that age maybe not. Or maybe the shocks themselves are seizing up just remember conventional shocks do not affect ride height in anyway that is entirely up the coil springs.
Hopefully you didn't bend other suspension components.

Wow, that sucks. Tell us what you end up finding on that, please. (I load up my '98 sometimes) And, what was put in the trunk that weighed that much?

LOL! I suppose if I filled my trunk - COMPLETELY - with bricks, or slate tile, it might weigh 2000 lbs, and I could see it doing permanent damage to the suspension. Much moreso than, say, 200 lbs, which is what your average dead body might weigh.

It takes about 13 cubic feet of concrete to weigh 2000 pounds. Oh and a dead body weighs the same as a live one, at least initially.
