Lower Intake manifold removal help
Hey guys so I'm trying to remove the lower intake manifold to get to the coolant bypass hose. I have a 99 ES300, already took off the top plenum and removed all the hoses from the lower plenum. took out all the bolts and nuts from the lower plenum but having trouble getting it off after. Do I need to take the fuel rail off in order to remove the plenum? I guess any tips or advise would be great
Thanks!
Thanks!

No you dont have to take the injector rail out.
Everything comes out together.
If i remember correctly, 9 bolts and 2 nuts with washers.
Once you get those out, just give it a good nudge or pull up.
It should break free.

Don't have to remove the fuel rail you can swing the entire manifold with hoses attached (I think I removed 1 or 2) out of the way. While you're in there you should replace the knock sensor harness as well on the bypass don't use anything but genuine or you'll be doing the job again soon.

Alright so it was just that easy, gave it a good yank and came apart thanks again, when I pulled it off though there was a random washer under it as when I tried picking it up it flew into the valve port but thank God it was closed as where i pulled it out with a magnet.
any advice once I start putting everything back together? do I need to replace gaskets or use any sealant anywhere?

Instead of guessing follow the service manual. This is for a Camry so no info on VVTi but everything else is basically the same.
