The process:
1. Wash with Chemical Guys Max Suds II Cherry, foam cannon and pressure washer.
2. Clay with Mothers California Gold clay bar.
3. Wash again with plain dawn dish soap (removes wax and most tar).
4. Spray Carpro Iron-X.
5. Rinse with pressure washer.
6. Spray Carpro Tar-X
7. Wipe off tar.
8. Wash with dawn (again) and dry.
9. Walk around the car with a dry erase marker and a bright light. Circle any problem areas in the paint that need corrected.
10. Wet-sand deeper scratches with 2000 grit paper. TAKE CARE NOT TO GO THROUGH THE CLEARCOAT. If you are sanding and you see color on the sandpaper, it's too late. You may not be able to level all scratches, but most can be reduced significantly.
11. Walk around car again and circle any further imperfections.
12. Wet-sand ENTIRE CAR (every painted surface, obviously. I also did the headlamp lenses) with 3000 grit paper or Emory cloth, taking care not to go any deeper in the areas you have sanded with 2000 grit.
13. Polish with Meguiars M105, work panel by panel until all imperfections are gone. (This step took 4 passes on the entire car, on average).
14. Final Polish with Meguairs M205 (one pass).
15. Watch a youtube video on how to apply CQuartz UK 3.0.
16. Dust off car and wipe down with 50/50 mix of ISO alc (91%) and water.
17. Apply Carpro CQuartz UK 3.0 Ceramic Coating.
18. Cure 1 hour, and return to level out coating with Carpro Reload and a microfiber towel.
19. Park inside for 12 hours to cure the coating. Being that it was 40*F here, I left the heat on in the garage overnight, set to an ideal 65*F.
20. Park outside (in direct sunlight) for 12 hours to complete curing.
The paint correction process took about 20 hours. The life expectancy of the coating is 3-5 years of hydrophobic activity and chemical/UV resistance. Any questions?

That's right way to do it. I have no idea why it took me so long to start using nano coatings I wasted mucho $$$$$ on waxes plus the time and effort to do it and none of them last worth a damn.
....I forgot to say I don't think wet sanding the entire car is necessary but everyone has their own method of doing things.

I used a Harbor Freight/Chicago Electric 6"DA, Chemical Guys HexPad yellow pad for cutting with M105, Lake Country Orange pad for 205.
