1997 es300 no start
Recently my car died while on the freeway about 60mph. Car completely died, still cranked but no start. I checked the obd2 reader and the p0340 was pending so I guess the cam sensor was on the way out. The very next day the battery died completely, reading 10v. I figured it was the alternator so I grabbed a new battery and cranked it over but still no start. I replaced the cam sensor with a used one at the junk yard and tried to start but nothing. I read that the cam sensor would not cause the car to not start so I tried to diagnose the issue else where. What I've found was cylinder 2 spark plug spark was orange and 4 and 6 was fine. I didn't test the fuel pump but I changed out the fuel filter and when trying to start, it does spray out of the fuel filter. I've also checked the injectors of # 2,4, and 6 and they seem to work fine. Not sure why I'm getting fuel and spark but car isn't starting.
What I haven't checked are the rear spark plugs # 1,3, and 5, the timing, and the ecu. Right now I'm waiting on a brand new cam sensor to see if it fixes the problem. Before I start tearing the car down, what are the chances that it's the timing that slipped? Is that common? I haven't touched the belts but they've been replaced 8 years ago. Or is it possible the ecu went out? Thanks in advance

Get a can of starting fluid. Spray into the air intake hose. If the car starts for a little while, you have a problem with fuel delivery. I would start with the cheapest part and simplest part first when replacing components. Check your Fuel Pump Relay (EFI fuse) before tackling the Fuel Pump. It's around $10 at Autozone.

I haven't tried the starting fluid but I've checked the injectors and they're spraying a lot of fuel, I'll try it though. Also if the efi fuse was bad wouldn't it keep it from sparking and/or spraying fuel?

Yeah I thought the alternator was bad. I replaced the battery because it was 10v almost 9v. Even if I tried recharging it, there's no way it would be as reliable as a new battery. Long story short, it ended up being the timing belt.
