Default Adjusting Window Height

I recently replaced the driver side window regulator, and now the window stops a bit too high when fully up. It hits the lip of the trim and the window gets stuck when trying to shut the door. After trying to adjust the 3 screws that hold the window to the regulator for 3 hours, I gave up.

My question is - are there other places to adjust max window height? Any input would be great. This is for a 1999 ES 300.

I just wanted to take the time and contribute back to this, and other wonderful and invaluable forums. That's right! Its time to give back.

So, if anyone else experiences the symptoms above - there are 2 bolts, which you can loosen and glide up and down, almost 3/4" of an inch max. What your moving are the actual "Stops," that the window bumpers hit. Just follow where the 2 rubber bumpers on the window go up to rest - you'll see that there are two bolts (one most likely covered in clear tape) that control this. Adjust as needed; problem solved.

I was a little discouraged when the question above was viewed over 100 times, without a single shout. All good. DYI makes the soul feel good.

Thanks for the info. Almost all of these mechanisms have some type of stopper bolts they are especially important for doors with frameless glass.

Yes, there are two yellow stoppers that allow you to adjust the window height.
