Hey guys, when I bought my 1999 ES300, the hood did not pop up sharply whenever I pulled the release lever. I was installing a trans oil cooler the other day, so I reoriented the center horn to make room for the cooler mounting strap. This put it in the way of the hood, so when I closed it, it bent the horn mounting strap.

Somehow, this fixed my hood! Next several opens, it popped open sharply.

However, today it went back to its old ways. Any ideas? Or, how should I adjust/check out the latch properly?
