Average milage(calc 12K a year) should be 96,000 for a '95 model. If you want a Lexus ES 300 and that's what you can spend/what's avalible, then the answer should be a clear cut yes
The good news is that compaired to some other(read newer) lesser cars at that price range. Your's will hold it's value a few years longer.
Check kelley's used car pricing with the right options the car comes with.
I left the options at standard, good condition. it was worth $7,200.

Last month I traded in my '94 ES and the Lexus dealer gave me $8000 and my car was immaculate and it had 53,000 miles on it. I just saw it in their used car section and they had a price of $11,700 on the window. Everything that impresses prospective buyers are mileage and condition. BTW: It's still for sale at Bay Ridge Lexus in Brooklyn, NY if you're interested. I have the whole history of this car and I doubt whether you'll find a cleaner low mileage car as this one. If you want I'll drive it out to California. hehehe.

Where are you located? I have relatives in Santa Monica (Brentwood). BTW: If you bought this car you could drive it cross country without any worries. Right before I traded it in I put in a Diehard Gold Battery, Pirelli P-6000 tires, and all 4 wheel brakes(Lexus Parts).

Sounds a bit high...
Considering the mileage and the fact that we're now in a soft used car market, you should be able negotiate a lower price on it. Doing a nationwide search on Cars.com for a 1995 ES300 with a price cap set at $8,000 listed 20 cars, with a nice looking green one with 99K miles for only $6,995. Also, doing a price check on Edmunds.com reveals a 95 ES300 with 120K miles and leather and moonroof as options as only having a TMV of $8,127 for a private party sale. I guess I was lucky to get my 97 ES300 for only $7,200.

Maybe this won't help at all, but if you can get to those dealer auctions (i.e. know a dealer that would take you) you can get whatever car you want practically for sometimes upto 30% off the private party price...i got my '96 ES with 65k for 8 grand at a dealer auction...if you can be near rochester, new york at anytime, i can hook you up with my dealer friend...

Well in my situation, I bought a mint condition one owner Pearl White 95 ES back in January with 76,125 on the dash for 9,000 final price (before trade in and all the other crap was added on) but basically they advertised 12,600 on the sticker. Did I get ripped?
