2000 Es300

I have a 92 es now but after college i was thinking about a 2000. I read that 0-60 times for this year is around 6.8. Is that for a standard or auto? anyone with a 2000 or same gen know about how fast it is 0-60? I know the es isnt the best performing car, but 6.8 is relatively quick.

According to Motor Trend in April 1999, the 0-60 acceleration time for the '00-'01 ES is 7.8 sec. I would assume it's for auto since all ES (except for the '92 5-speed) have auto transmission.

Nope, that info you read is wrong. There are no manual ES models except from 1990-91 and 92-1993 only. As for ES auto times, there has nothing been faster than 0-60 times of 7.8. It would be a miracle for an ES to go 6.8...so it can better compete with the Acura TL and Infiniti I30 in terms of performance.
