So that's NOT your red interior??

The pics of the complete red interior are out of my friends 2000 GS 400. I did all the interior work in the car other than the seats and door inserts. Just basically a reference pic of something similar to what my Interior will look like when completed.

Sorry guys I've been slammed at work these past couple weeks so I haven't been able to do a whole lot more to it but I do have a few pics of what I was able to get done. Got the dash all prepped and taped up for dye

Finished product.

I was able to track down a 02 steering wheel/airbag combo for dirt cheap that ill be converting onto the car.

Last pieces of door panels and dash dyed THANK GOD!!!!

Steering wheel/column covers as well as door locks dyed as well.

Sanded down the woodgrain and painted it high gloss black. Once fully dry ill be able to tape it up and dye the rest of the wheel.

Brand new door weatherstrip moldings. Almost $400 just for these alone. SMH

Brushed aluminum pedal set came in also.

Everything was first cleaned REALLY well with a white Scotch Brite with 3m "scuff it" cream and a little water to clean out any old dirt, grease etc. on parts. Onice it was dried wiped down with rubbing alcohol and a tack rag then sprayed 1 coat of adhesion promoter. They were all painted with ppg envirobase waterborne paint converted into an interior dye.

I liked your method of using zip ties to hold the pieces on the rack. Nice work on the trim pieces, looking forward to seeing the steering wheel conversion.

This is the 2 cruise control levers/ harness from the 98/02 steering wheel side by side. Almost identical except for a few wires. Basically all i did was take the slotted pin for the horn ground off the 02 and Sautered it on the 98 cruise lever. Everything works perfect with no codes or warning lights

Leather parts of the steering wheel died red

Installed back in the car

Jumped back on the wetsanding/polishing on the body.

Rh rear quarter completed, what do yall think??

I did all my parts that way and gave it 48 hours proper dry time and I can drag my fingernail on it with excessive pressure and no sign of scratching or damage to the parts. The main thing is your prep work with the parts, the more thorough you are cleaning and prepping them the better the material will stick and hold up in the long run!!
