Default windshield replacement on 03

A large rock left a similiarly large crack on my windshield last week. It looks like I need to have it replaced? Anything I need to keep in mind when I schedule someone to do this? These types on "mobile shops" seem to be fly-by-night. I am concenred that shoddy work can effect he quiet interior of my car.

I have called a place that has the rain sensing glass i need in stock and can do it Thursday.

Thanks!

I would definitely bring the car to an authorized Lexus dealer to change the windshield! If you bring this to a local automotive glass place to do this job you might be very sorry since Lexus will not assume any responsibilty if you have problems afterward such as leaks and future migrating cracks. Even though a Lexus dealer would most likely charge more I think it's money well spent.

I second that, bring it to a Lexus dealer if you have more than a mirror attached to it.
One question, is not your insurance going to cover this? If it does, go for the best.

Thanks for the replies...

I decided that i go with the full replacement I will go with the dealer work. my insurnace will cover it but I want to have the crack checked out to see if it must be replaced or not. I have heard that once they pop one in (even by a lexus dealer) it may not be a perfect "as new" fit. So if possible I will get it repaired and if I have to have it replaced by a dealer.
