3,000 seems insane for a v6 grandma car. I would be doing 6 oil changes a year if i did that

Use Synthetic or run Marvel Mystery Oil in it from time to time to keep the sludge demons away.

I run 5W30 conventional oil in my 3MZ ES330 and 1MZ Solara. The ES330 goes 6,000km (3700mi) and the 1MZ Solara goes 5,000km (3100mi) before I change the oil.

Sometimes the 6 month mark is met before I reach the mileage so I end up changing it even earlier.

My 3MZ ES330 hates synthetic oil. Its too thin and causes a lot of engine noise especially on cold mornings.
