Default New owner of older Lexus with questions

I am a former Scion tC and Toyota 4Runner owner who needed a commuter. I found a '95 Lexus ES 300 with about 182,000 miles and seems to be in really good shape. It has a few things that may need to be addressed or would make me feel a little better. I will be posting about them when I have the time.

The cartridge for my CD changer is missing. I found one one that I am considering. Does anyone know a good source for this? The stereo I have only has the radio and tape deck up front with the CD changer in the trunk.

My antenna works fine, but is bent. Is there any other option for it such a stubby antenna? Some of the needles on my gauges no longer light up. One of them is flickering and on its way out. Does anyone know anything about this?

The car is throwing an EVAP code which is probably just because maybe I need to replace the gas cap. I had the issue on the 4Runner and have heard of it in Toyotas. Was there a keyless remote option for this year model?

I just have the keys and no remotes. I do have at least one of my Scion remote keys. I am not sure if that can be programmed to work and if I can get a Lexus key made for it.

The down button portion of the driver's side control for the passenger side window is not working. Is there a fix for this that anyone is aware of? I think that is all for now. Thank you all!

Ebay for the cd cartridge. Yes, you can replace your antenna with a short version from your local auto parts store, easy swap. The needles going out is a known issue, there is a how to on the site somewhere, I think there may be videos as well. On my car I got the window to work again by holding down the button while slamming the door repeatedly.

The window will go up with the driver's side switch, but not down. Was that what yours was doing?

Mine were stuck up. You're problem is different. I would pull the switch plate and check the wires and the continuity of the switch itself with a dvm

Will do when I get time. I need to change the oil. Do these usually have synthetic? Not sure what it has now.

I run synthetic. I think it's worth it to help prevent sludging.

Not sure what the previous owners used. Will look into it. Thank you!

It never hurts to run better oil, as you can get longer intervals out of it.

Is there a shorty antenna that anyone recommends to go nicely with the ES 300? I will look at the parts store, but I want something that looks clean. Not something that looks added on.

The CD changer might be interchangeable with other Lexus models. I pulled one from a 99 ES300 in the junkyard for my brother's 2000 GS300.

Look on eBay for the remotes. Programming can be done by yourself.

The window switch could either be a loose connection, or a worn switch with dirty contacts, in which case you should take it apart and use a pencil eraser or contact cleaner to clean it up.
